MLB Offseason- Free Agents and Where They Are Now

Free agency is one of the most interesting parts of a sports season, not just for the excitement and nailbiting wait, but also because it has the power to tilt the balance of the league in so many ways. It is a period of domino effects in which one move literally leads to a series of events and has impact much beyond the season. As baseball slowly moves from offseason to 2021, we take a look at some of the big names on the free agency board. It may have been a shortened season, but the list of free agents is by no means of the same description, as the traditional 50-man list was instead lengthened to 60, as the free agent total for the season went up above the normal. This longer board should be quite a catch for punters especially for Montana online gambling, as the moves come big, fast, and interesting.

George Springer will be entering the free agency market from the Houston Astros and would be quite a catch for a team looking to become a strong presence in the playoffs in the coming seasons. J.T Realmuto and Trevor Bauer form an interesting pair that could very well fit into teams like the Mets or Padres who are looking to become regular postseason appearances. The Cincinnati Reds would likely do all they can to keep Bauer. Marcus Stroman was not on the market for too long before being resigned by the Mets by signing their qualifying offer, a move which shows how much the Mets believe in their current roster and how much of a role it will play in the big games. Marcel Ozuna is going to be a great fit for any team but surely the Braves will be looking to retain their team in whatever capacity and Ozuna may just have another chance to play on a playoff team.

The Braves have also added Charlie Morton who comes from the World Series runner up, the Tampa Bay Rays. Justin Turner and Joc Poderson may not be the most flashy of names in the MLB but they just won a championship with the Dodgers and will have every motivation to play for another as solid pieces that can come in and do their job, being efficient whenever they are called upon. The San Francisco Giants wasted no time in resigning Gausman showing a faith that could reap instant benefits, while Mike Minor has left the Athletics to sign for Kansas City. Pedro Baez and Blake Treinen are also looking to test the waters after winning that long-awaited championship. One of the bigger names on the free agency board is Yasiel Puig. Puig still has it in him and the Indians maybe playing a long game but does not mean others are not watching. The Giants also have a slew of players on the free agency market, including Trevor Cahill, Tony Watson, and Drew Smyly, who has moved on to the Braves.

This is not every name on the free agency market, but there is enough to go around and influence the league outlook next season.
